Our lovely BnB, le Moulin de Binard, was a great choice. We enjoyed many aspects:
| Picnic in the grounds |
| Our bedroom window visible through the ivy |
Weather has been quite changeable here. Massive rainstorms in the afternoons, with sometimes nice days and sometimes not.
We had managed to book massages for both of us, but mine was at 11am and Caelli's at 4pm, so that restricted our activities. We decided to go for a bike ride, as the Moulin had free bikes for guests. They were fairly old, however, and each had its own eccentricity, like a loose seat or unpumpable tyres or chains that dropped off when one stopped pedalling. Oh, well, they were free!
| This road was the width of a car. We had to get into the crop (almost) when a car came |
| A nearby manoir |
The Moulin de Binard has a donkey, a goose, two sheep, half a dozen peacocks, three cats, a dog and myriad chooks. We met all bar one cat.
A nearby paddock was filled with poppies (they're weeds here). We had a bit of fun trying to get the best photo.
| The weather is still interesting... |
The nearest large town is Peronne. We managed to explore a little.
| The remnants of the old castle now house a museum |
| Un estang. They are a bit like billabongs, set off from the Somme. |
