Helene Fischer

Helene was fantastic, even if I didn't understand what she said.  She sang a couple of songs in German that I didn’t know, and about three in English (the best version of “The Rose” that I’ve ever heard), but otherwise I was singing along, at least with the choruses, as was everyone else.  It was pretty noisy!  My seat in the front row of the actual stadium seating was brilliant.  Almost everyone stood for the entire concert, so there was no-one standing in front of me.  Binoculars were well worth it, too.  Most seats were filled, so there were close to 50,000 people there.  However, it was spoiled for me by the smoking.  Despite being in an indoor stadium, everyone smoked.  It wouldn’t have stopped me going, but I’ll think twice before going again.

Empty stadium from the back.  My seat was at the bottom of this aisle
And again just before the beginning of the concert
Yes - I was really here!!

The light show during "Immer Wieder" was pretty good
