On my last evening in Agathenburg, Elke and I went to the banks of the Elbe river at Lühe to see if there were any ships travelling between the North Sea and Hamburg.
More wonderful half-timbered houses
Altes Land is the name of the fruit-growing region along the Elbe north of Hamburg
The ferry terminal at Lühe
This sign amused me
Lachmöwe - Blach-headed Gull
Ripples from a ship going past
A brigantine sailing past the flag of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony)
Nice square sails!
Sailing towards Hamburg
Three in a row - a barge, a container vessel and the brigantine
