Agathenburg

I'm currently staying with Elke and Rudi in Agathenburg for two and a half weeks, helping out with weeding. They live in a lovely place with a small lake literally on the doorstep. They have an 11 year old foster child called Omran, 2 cats with 7 kittens between them, 5 sheep and a dozen chooks.

The main living area on the left, with the lake straight ahead
Mostly, the lake looks like this
Occasionally, it looks like this
And this is what it looks like at 11pm with tealight candles floating on it
Emma and Schwarze Katze (Black Cat)
Emma has 4 kittens
Schwarze Katze has 3, about 10 days older than Emma's
The Elbe is nearby. We are not too far north-west of Hamburg here, and the river empties itself into the North Sea north-west of us. The area is known as Altes Land, the old land, and is Germany's largest fruit-growing region.

Hence the river is extremely wide
Farmhouses look like this
