Lindau - grey and gloomy

When I got back from the Pfänder, the weather had closed in and it was completely overcast. It never got any better over the next couple of days, either. Some shots from wandering around the town.

Melancholy in the gloom
Yup - cold and wet
Hmmm. Not sure what this tower is
The rail bridge, complete with train (north-western corner)
The road bridge (north-eastern corner)
Diebsturm
Mangturm. Can you see Rapunzel's hair hanging from the middle window?
The main square with the two churches
Look! Lindau even has walls!
It's nice to be back in Germany. I can have hot chocolate and cake again. Spain turns hot chocolate into a disaster - it's virtually undrinkable.

Himbeertorte - yum
The sparrows helped me finish off the cake
Nothing says spring quite as well as flowers, and Lindau has a lot. Tulips, pansies, violas, English daisies, poppies - all gorgeous.

The main street in the middle of the island
Near the harbour
Harbour again
Eastern end of the island
Back at the harbour
Same flowers, other side
There are also a few buildings with painted facades which are lovely.

Stadtmuseum......front......
......and side
And then there's das altes Rathaus, the old Town Hall.  This building is awesome.

Front view. Das neues Rathaus is the red building on the right.

And here's the back view

At night
And to finish, a couple of shots from the harbour at night.
