Stuttgart

On Saturday the 7th, my host Christine and three of her friends drove to Stuttgart for a conference. They took me with them, so I caught a train into the centre.

A party boat on the Neckar
With only about an hour and a half, I had limited time. I walked through a large park alongside the zoo, and eventually ended up at the Hauptbahnhof. It was a lovely day, with many people and families out enjoying the weather.

A white rhea
Zedonks. Can you make out the stripey legs?
A lot of the park was unmown grass, with wildflowers growing throughout (like dandelions!) Mostly knee high, there were signs asking people not to walk there.

There were a number of waterbirds on lakes in the park, some with chicks. These geese were keeping their young ones close.

Finally arrived at the Hauptbahnhof, which, like many stations in the state of Baden-Württemberg, is undergoing major reconstruction. Walking down a long passageway lined with pictures of important or well-known stations from around the world, I finally found......

Flinders St Station!
At some point I'll translate this!
